Here is a twist on the popular Brazilian Caipirinha, the Cairpiroska. This drink uses vodka in the place of cachaça, resulting in a fresh, citrusy drink that has become my new favourite way to enjoy vodka.
It originated as a field-worker’s drink as it is easy to make and very refreshing. Especially enjoyable during the warmer months.
- 2 parts vodka
- Juice of one lime
- 2 Tsp Sugar
- Crushed ice
- In a cocktail shaker, add lime cut into wedges and fine sugar.
- Muddle the cocktail, allowing sugar to dissolve with time.
- Add ice and vodka.
- Vigorously shake and pour into a chilled glass garnished with lime.
